Bargain of the Week Pink Metallic Sandals

I’m so excited writing my first bargain post of the year, I can’t believe I’ve waited this long but this beauty may have been worth the long wait. I spotted these sandals in H&M for the perfect bargain price of €29.99. They are finished in a stunning metallic rose gold with crossing straps at the ankle and a simple band at the toe. They have a small platform and the heel itself is pretty manageable. Rose gold is one of those delightful nudes that suits every skin tone. These...

Worth Splurging Carl Scarpa Ogetti Cairistine sandals

This weeks splurge comes from Arnotts for €110. This mule sandal has a very unusual design, most of the shoe is open but it comes together at the vamp with rolled detailing and opens out again to a peep toe. They are constructed from suede and are trimmed in patent leather piping. I’m not sure how easy they would be to walk in but they certainly made me sit up straight and take a closer look.

Bargain of the Week Korkys Unis Black Sandal

This weeks bargain comes from Korky’s. I’ve had my eye on these sandals for a while and really wanted to feature them but at €49.99 they didn’t really fit in the bargain category but when I checked them out again this week I saw the price had dropped to a bargain friendly price of €20 whoop whoop. A great Summer sandal that will match any outfit, you could just as easily wear them with jeans as with a dress. The stiletto heel height is 4½” (11cm). They are also...

Worth Splurging River Island blue print canvas wedges

I’ve been gazing at these wedges for a few weeks now. I’ve been hesitant in featuring them as they don’t really fit in the splurge category so we’ll just call it a mini splurge. That way you don’t feel half as guilty if you get them….it’s only mini I know wedges aren’t to everyone’s taste but personally I love them, team them with a floral print and I’m completely won over. They are available from River Island for £69.99. They only have a few sizes left so get cracking...

Celebrity Shoes Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Paradis Sandals

Stunning actress, Charlize Theron wore these cut out Dior Paradis sandals at the Dior VIII Launch held in the Dior Boutique in New York city on Wednesday 8th June 2011. As host of the launch Charlize was dressed head to toe in Dior from her strapless feather dress to her Dior VIII watch. She is a regular feature in Dior ad campaigns and I’m sure she was only too happy to represent the brand on this occasion. The heels are constructed from Italian leather and have a padded insole....

Shoe Showcase New Look Pewter Gladiator

Happy Friday everyone It’s shoe showcase time and up this week are my pewter gladiator sandals from New Look. My Shoemammy picked a pair of these up for my sister and me last Summer in the sale (she’s great at spotting bargains). I threw this combination together yesterday evening after work. I was feeling inspired by the beautiful sunshine and took the opportunity to play dress up. Admittedly I’ve only worn these sandals a handful of times since I got them but they are completely deserving of a feature....

Celebrity Shoes Jessica Simpson in Alexander McQueen Tan 3D Flower Wedges

Jessica Simpson was spotted in New York City out with her fiancé Eric Johnson on Friday 3rd June 2011 in these tan McQueen wedges. She teamed them with a simple white tshirt, cream blazer, denim shorts and a cute camel and red leather Fendi bag. Some of Alexander McQueen’s designs really make me sit up and grab my attention. These wedges however don’t really inspire me, I like the floral detail on the heel but that’s about it. I just think they’re a little chunky and awkward looking. Featuring...

Bargain Of The Week Jelly Flower Peep toe

Jelly shoes seem to be everywhere this season so I made it my mission this week to find a great pair of jelly shoes at a bargain price. I don’t think I could have done better than these Jelly Flower Peep toe sandals which I found in Heatons for €3.65…three euro sixty five cent. That’s less than a sandwich at a deli counter. Constructed entirely from rubber and featuring a cute sling back sandal with a peep toe and corsage on the vamp. I’m not sure about the come...

Top Tip: Create your own custom design shoes

It’s something I think every shoe lover has thought of at one stage or another….designing and owning the perfect pair of shoes. I came across Amanda from I CAN make shoes through twitter last week. She started following me and I like to check out all my new followers. I landed on her website and it was a total OH MY WOW moment.   I couldn’t believe that all the amazing shoes were handmade by “normal” ladies with no prior experience...
