Top Tip: Change Your Shoes
What a great excuse to buy more shoes On a serious note however it is advisable to change your shoes regularly and not wear the same pair days on end. Both your feet and your shoes deserve a break every so often.
Wearing the same pair of shoes every day will damage your shoes and dramatically reduce the life of them. The reason for this is your feet sweat (gross I know) and this gets absorbed into the upper, lining and insole of your shoes which will in turn degrade them quickly
By changing your shoes however you will give them a chance to recover and dry out. A day or two is a sufficient amount of time to allow your shoes to breathe.
It is also benefits your feet to change your shoes often. Try changing between heels and flats as this will reduce the chance damage to your feet and also your achilles tendon and calf muscles. If you constantly wear heels this will actually shorten your calf muscle….eeek!
Also wear appropriate footwear depending on your activity. Heels are great for a night out but not very appropriate for going for a run.
Similarly regular flats are perfectly fine for strolling around the shops in but if you are going for a run you need an appropriate running shoe.
As soon as I sit down I kick off my shoesies. I even do it at work and in friends houses which occasionally results in them thinking I’m a total nutter lol.
Am I the only loony to do this or are there others out there?
